Process
We get together across our cluster to moderate learner writing. Our aim is a consistency of testing and marking to ensure the validity of our data.
Literacy Leaders from each school attends the cluster moderation and then leads the moderation back in their school.
Preparing for moderation
Thanks to Tania for her skilled and expert organisation in providing this Tatupu folder for our cluster moderation. It contains the spreadsheet for all our cluster moderators to link their marked samples to. Tania has linked her school's samples already as a guide.
Please ask your representatives to go through the folder to refresh themselves of the steps we take for moderation. Reading through the set of slides prior to our moderation will be a big help.
🙏Respectfully ask that you delay marking remaining school writing until cluster moderation is complete. These initial samples will serve as benchmarks for your school-wide assessments.
